Clutch: If you do not have a pull type with clutch brake that may be a problem to add to all the other clutch problems. The end on the input shaft is larger than the OD. with 1.75 & 2" shafts but smaller or even 1.75 in a 10 series or up is questionable. If not the setup would require a custom adapter. A flywheel housing for a 6bt with the next larger housing was probably made for some commercial applications but may require a different flywheel. Maybe not ever made for 10 & 11 series either. The smaller width housing is available for the 95 series, but hard to find, and never produced for 12 series and up. Lots of issues: To my knowledge bellhousings on RT transmissions come in two widths and the one on your 6bt is surely smaller than either. My question is can I buy the Rtoo and convert it to a RTLOO? Seems like the best of both worlds! I also know that they did not make a RTLOO, so to achieve that(if possible) I would have to do some gear swapping. I know the 14613 is available in the rtlo, which is what I would really like to have. From reading on eatons website it is basically the same size as the 9513(actually 2" shorter and 1lbs less!) Not to mention the noisy coarse cut gears found in the rto's ![]() Seems like it would be a PIA to shift up, then switch back to direct. Only reason I wish to have anything else is because i would like to have the ability to pre select before shifting to the next gear. 62 od ratio found in the Rtoo's and i understand that is easy to achieve with the 9513. Only tomorrow! So if i want it, i have to know by tomorrow. I have found a well priced Rto 9513(400 bucks) that can be delivered to me, tomorrow. Now I have given you the why hopefully i can make the first big step of this project. Being able to select the perfect gear to keep my egt's low as possible. Another reason I am going this way is because of the heavy weight, but in some of the large hills I will be encountering. I will be towing 29k lbs on a regular basis. I am on the verge of over powering this transmission(they are not known for being able to take a lot of abuse). I know its unorthodox, but i have a 1993 Dodge w350. I know no drivers personally so my only choice is to ask you guys. Good evening, this is my first time on the forum hopefully someone can give me some insight. ![]()
